Panniyankara

Panniyankara is an urban revenue village within Kozhikode Corporation, not a rural panchayat. Its village office is recorded at Kallai, and the Revenue Department describes a broad area reaching from the Kallai side towards Payyanakkal and Kappakkal on the western coast. Kannancheri and Meenchanda mark the southern direction in the official village description, although those adjoining places do not all use the same postal code. Within PIN 673003, Panniyankara provides the administrative setting for several more precise neighbourhood names, including Payyanakkal and Chakkumkadavu. The area combines inland streets and everyday residential districts with the approach to the Arabian Sea. For addresses, a specific street or locality is more useful than the village name alone because revenue, corporation-ward and postal boundaries do not coincide.
